I'm very pleased to announce that my first professional novel has just been published . A brief synopsis:
For fifteen years, the young prince Morgan Craft was raised among royalty in the angelic kingdom of Moralvia. But a terrible act of betrayal thrusts him into an unfamiliar world where he encounters a group of rebellious citizens bent upon usurping his family’s legacy. Soon, Morgan is made aware of an ancient legend that tells of an angel possessed of divine powers strong enough to reshape the kingdom and bring their creator back to the world. The young prince is forced to make a choice about his own future, which may decide the fate of all angelkind…

OK, so I had a wonderful, hurricane-free day off today, and did I spend it writing. No, I took my kids bowling [we won't discuss the score, but we did have fun]. Still, I needed to write, so since returning home, I've tried and well, let's just say I'm stuck. I am having trouble transitioning from the current scene to the mall where the next scene takes place. Any ideas? I am so stuck! Just to be helpful, I'm including links to my other two chapters. Actually, this problem with chapter three sums up my problem with the whole novel... I have written the last three chapters, but I don't know how to get there yet.

Title: Autumn Bird

Genre: General/(Fantasy/Romance)
Notes: This story takes place in imaginary nations in our own world, or a completely different world. There is no real magic involved.
Summary: Senyas is a young palace scribe who lost his family and nation to an invasion. The only reason he's still alive is because he can write and speak beautifully in three languages, ironically, a talent he will use to help overthrow the new emperor.

these last two days of not so summer vacation have been wonderful, i feel like i'm finally ready to go back to school.
Today is my brother's 21st birthday and we played black jack late into the night and gave him his gifts, it was really cute. I also got to spend much needed biffle bonding; I LOVE TROPICAL STORMS! |

This is actually the scene that I got stuck on. I have broken the writer's block on it finally. But I want someone else's eyes to read over it to see if it is as smooth as I think it is.

I mean, I thought I’d have the place to myself with you out of town and I could get lots of work done.”
Cynthia’s smile lit up her whole face as she brushed her luxurious blonde hair behind her left ear. “Look, I know it’s not ideal, but Carla is moving here from Boston, and you know how hard it is to find a decent, affordable place in California. She’s got some new business going that seems to really bring in money, so it shouldn’t take her too long to find a place she can afford. Besides,” She grinned “this way you and that lunatic buddy of yours won’t be able to spend the whole month drinking too much while I’m gone. You might even have to behave like an adult with her around.”

Hi all, Its been a while since I've posted here... but anyway, here goes nothing.
This is just a small paragraph. Not really needing a lj cut really...
If you see typos tell plz, but the main question is... is the description good?
What nationallity is the main character from? What do you thinks she acts like?

There she stood, skin all oiled up by the gleaming sun block. She had on so much sunscreen, most of hadn’t rubbed into her skin yet. Her pale-white figure remained covered in a bleach-white towel so that nothing but her dainty shoulders, and narrow shins poked out. Her beautiful brown hair that gleamed red in the sun, was kept up with two big chop-sticks. Most of all, her face told everything; harsh blue eyes stared frantically trying to find similarities to all the dark skinned Americans that shrouded the area, while her long narrow eyebrows expressed concern. |
